WalkTalkSurrey Privacy Policy

WalkTalkSurrey is a provider for guided walking in the Surrey Hills. Additionally, we may sometimes run trips further afield to hill and moorland areas.

Paul Wolstencroft and Lucy Wolstencroft are the co-founders of WalkTalkSurrey, and are referred to in this privacy policy as “We” or “Us". You may contact us here.

When you book onto one of our walks, we collect and process the following personal information provided by you: First and last name, email address, phone number, and emergency contact information. 

Why we collect this information

We collect this information to contact you with details regarding walks that you have booked onto. 

Additionally, with your consent, we may use this information to contact you with relevant content you may find interesting (i.e. nature blog posts) or details of future walks for marketing purposes.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: (a) Your consent -  you are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting us here. (b) We have a legitimate interest.

How we collect the information 

All of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by filling in our online enquiry form, sending us an email, booking onto a walk, or interacting with us on Instagram. 

How we store your personal information 

We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with services. We will then dispose of your information by deleting all records of your data. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
