Over the last 20 last years, we've hiked around many parts of the UK with friends and family, enjoying the fresh air, scenery and social aspects of catching up with people.
Fast forward to 2020 when Lockdown hit, we rediscovered the beauty of the Surrey Hills on our doorstep. One of our realisations was that we didn't need to travel so far to enjoy an interesting walk.
In combination with volunteering with our local school's Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, we found a passion for encouraging others to explore nature.
WalkTalkSurrey grew from us wanting to share our love of nature and meet new people at the same time!
With over 30 years of experience as a qualified Mountain Leader, Paul has led trips across the UK and abroad for many years.
He enjoys volunteering with Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and has recently got back into strength training through a new found love of the gym.
Paul has experience in all England and Wales national parks and is on a journey rediscovering the Scottish Mountains.
Lucy has recently qualified as a Hill and Moorland Leader through the Mountain Training association and is on a journey to get her Mountain Leader.
She also volunteers as a Duke of Edinburgh expedition assessor, through which she has led groups in the North Downs, Exmoor and Peak District.
Lucy recently completed a sprint triathlon and is looking forward to increase the distance in 2025.
